Modern family home
Тип на проект: Residential apartment
The goal of this project was to create a functional, clean, and visually light interior, where layout, materials, and lighting work together to optimize the space. A key constraint was the ceiling height of 240 cm, which required a precise approach to lighting design, proportions, and vertical composition.
The living room, dining area, and kitchen are organized as an open-plan space, with zoning achieved through furniture and lighting rather than physical partitions. Light wood flooring and neutral walls form a base that visually expands the space and enhances the sense of openness.
The dining area is defined by a simple wooden table paired with black and white chairs, while the pendant lights with thin cords minimize visual drop from the ceiling. A wall mirror further enhances depth and spatial perception.
The kitchen features dark matte cabinetry combined with a warm wood countertop, creating contrast within the otherwise light interior. Upper cabinets are kept minimal and horizontally extended, with integrated LED lighting emphasizing linearity rather than height — a direct response to the low ceiling constraint.
The living area is organized around a minimalist TV wall and a low console unit, with carefully selected decor. Instead of bulky elements, the design relies on low volumes and clean lines to maintain visual balance and avoid compressing the space.
The overall interior follows a principle of controlled minimalism — every element has a purpose, and materials and colors are used to create a calm, warm, and highly livable environment.
